“Chain Breaker”

If you’re chained down by alcohol or anything else of this world, know that God loves you and can set you free.

Last Thursday marked 1000 days sober for me. I was caught up in cycles of addiction for years. Living in guilt and shame. I never thought God could even get me out of the ruts I was in. 

I thought He was angry and disappointed in me. That was a lie straight from the devil himself. I didn’t even believe in Him at one point of my life. 

God’s love set me free. Alcohol didn’t define me or my future. Our identity is in Christ alone. 

You may not struggle with alcohol or drugs. Maybe it’s worry, anger, prnography, gossip, slander, envy gluttony along with many other things. 

All sin will do is destroy your life and those around you. It may make you feel good in the moment, but will never fill that void, leaving you empty and miserable.

God wants the absolute best for your life. Why live on the fence any longer? His timing is always perfect and the refining and sanctification is a never ending process until He calls us home. 

Jesus was the only perfect person to walk the earth, but God can break any chain. I’ve seen Him do so many miracles in my own life and others. 

God sent His only son to die on the cross for us to have eternal life. I shouldn’t even be here today and I’m so thankful He saved me before it was too late.

We aren’t promised tomorrow and every day is a gift. Don’t waste it. Let God use you to have an impact for Him. 

We don’t have to wait until we die to experience heaven. He’s brought His kingdom down here on earth and the Holy Spirit lives inside of us.

Ask God to light a fire inside of you and His light with shine bright. Surrender daily and let the Holy Spirit guide you. 

Life is definitely hard sometimes, but God is there every step of the way. The enemy will never have the final say. 

I am extremely grateful for this beautiful life God has blessed me with! His light will always shine, no matter how dark things get. 

Psalm 40:2 says: “He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay,  And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.”
