As you can see, I don't have adequate space to tell you all about my weekend in Branson, Missouri, but it was fun.
It is definitely a good weekend get-away (around an 8 hr. drive), and has wonderful entertainment and dining, plus plenty of places to stay.
This was a girls
weekend get-away for my friend Beverly George's, Macomb, birthday. She is
displaying her chocolate caramel cheesecake with Happy Birthday written in
chocolate which was brought to her by our waitress at the beautiful resort
hotel "Chateau On The Lake."
This hotel was listed by CNN as one of the top ten places to spend new year's eve. Last year their celebration was planned around The Titanic which was built to 1/4 scale, this year it is around Casablanca with the plane being built full-scale. The evening for two with lodging starts at $699 and includes dinner, dance and live entertainment, hats, noisemakers, etc. Sara Nimrick, Beverly, my mother and I enjoyed a four-night stay at Sara's Fairview accommodations. We attended shows by Dino, the Chinese acrobats, and Yakov Smirnoff, Russian comedian, who guarantees a laugh a minute or money back.
This week saluted the veterans, so I was able to thank several for their service.
