The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Resolveby Dessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher/Owner
Hats off to all those who worked so hard this past year to make your families better, and to all those who worked within our communities to make so many services available to us. That is what makes this such a great place to live. Also, we commend those who dare to serve in the political arena with pride and integrity, and on the boards of so many organizations.
As the new year rolls in, let's all resolve to "roll up our sleeves" and do what we can to help our newly formed school district and its board to succeed. It seems so many have spoken out on how they are glad to finally see a united county school in Henderson County.
2005, I pray, will be the year a lot of issues are resolved:differences at home, in our communities, at work, in government, in Iraq.
Things can be accomplished if we are determined to not let the failures or the negative comments of others get us down. In fact, "when the going gets tough," no matter what the situation in life is, "the tough get going."
So, stay strong in mind, stay positive in spirit, appreciate those around you, and then roll up those sleeves and resolve to make 2005 the best year ever!
