My heart goes out to Wendell Shaner, Sr. of Stronghurst and to all the family in their great loss of his wonderful wife Marian and dear granddaughter Sadie.

May God be with each of you as you struggle with this tragedy and injuries of two other family members.

We are each reminded that our lives are only here for a season, and can be snatched away at any given moment. Whether a disease, a war, an unexpected accident, or our tired bodies have just worn out, our lives will eventually be taken back to the maker.

It is very difficult when we have lost someone we love. Words can not heal the heart. In times like these, only God can understand. Only our heavenly Father who gave His only son on a cross, can know the pain.

We can sympathize, offer a helping hand, or a listening ear, but it is God we need in times like these. He will not leave or forsake us, but will guide us through this pain.
