Are You Up To Spinning?Dessa Rodeffer-Quill Publisher-Owner

I had heard a very highly motivated speaker in Des Moines tell how she convinced someone to join a Bible study by agreeing to join her in a spinning class. She said it was a lot of work on her part but she felt she was doubly rewarded.
Not only did she lead this athletic trainer to Christ but she also received a great cardiovascular workout in spinning.
I know there are a lot of worthwhile things we need to do each day that justify not exercising, but if you are not in good health, eventually you are going to lose a lot more time and energy than if you took the time out to stay in good shape. I know first hand that long hours behind a computer without proper breaks can bring on all kinds of problems. Not because of the computer, but not knowing when to quit. My father-in-law use to say that if you don't take a break on Sunday (as the good Lord intended) you will end up fixing everything that breaks on Monday.
I went to the YWCA/YMCA in Burlington a couple weeks ago to work with the Nautilus equipment and happen to stick my head into the exercise room. A spinning class was beginning and Michael, the instructor, invited me to give it a try. I had been curious about it and was soon on the bike, fastening my feet into the straps ready for the two-hour ride that would be completed in a short 30 minutes. It was great, I worked at my own rate, but afterwards I had more energy. Join me for a spin at the Y on a Saturday at 10:15 a.m. It really is good for us. I'll be visiting that baby in Colorado this week, then back spinning for sure.
