Our Youth Can Amaze Us

Sitting through another Southern High School graduation continues to amaze me when I see the accomplishments our children have made over their school years in small town U.S.A.

I thought the emotions would end with my children's graduations but in our small towns, we seem to have a heart for all our youth.

I was taken back when one young girl I have admired over her high school years told me what was on her agenda after graduation.

Starr Robinson, a top music student, said she had joined The Air Force with plans of pursuing a medical field. This is what I love about our American people.

They can enjoy all the freedoms, excel in so many avenues, but still remain unspoiled. So many young Americans will take risks because they have a heart to preserve the freedom they have enjoyed.

Our graduates will not only choose military careers, but also pursue many different avenues to educate themselves so they can help keep America strong.

May God be with you Starr and all our special grads as they seek careers.
