Plenty To Do At HomeDessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher

With Union and La Harpe Homecoming this weekend, plus Heritage Trail Days Friday and Saturday, there is plenty to do at home for entertainment.
Although many Cub fans are tempted to work in a trip to Chicago after their team moved into first place, most will have to take in the final games on the television in order not to miss the action in their home communities.
With the Heritage Trail horse show at the county Fairgrounds Saturday, in Stronghurst, and a new "Living History Cemetery Walk" by the town's Booster Club at 7 p.m. where village leaders come back to life, there should be some fund entertainment.
It sounds like fun to take part in the newly created corn maze at the Rogers, Pumpkin Patch east of Lomax Saturday, and to attend the Christian Motorcyclists Club's Church Service in Oquawka Sunday at 10 a.m. Music will follow at 11 a.m. by the East Moline Baptist Church Brass Band at the Oquawka Museum.
The Raritan Museum will have plenty to look at for those "history buffs" including the one-room Graham Schoolhouse and many displays. I know it would be nice to see those Cubs, but there is plenty to do here at home.
