IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE:by Dessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher/Owner

The movie, "It's A Wonderful Life" has always been one of my old-time favorites and has a lot of our little hometown written across it.
It talks about the big dreams of a small town boy who couldn't wait to graduate and go on and make it big in the world. But he ended up helping his father and when the time came to move out into the world, his father died and he stayed to take over his bank.
All the time he thought he wasn't accomplishing the big things because he was stuck in a little old small town. In the end, he found out just how many lives he had touched because of his compassion for the people in his little community.
To me, it sounds like home. I look at our small communities he see how desperately we need each other and how what we do has made a difference in our community. Whether you're at the bank, post office, grocery, restaurant, gas station, nursing home, church, flower shop, funeral home, carpenter, plumber, nurse, doctor or dentist or just a good and thoughtful neighbor, you touch another. What you do may seem small, but it wouldn't be a wonderful life without you.
