They say it all begins in Kindergarten.... that is, everything we need to know.
If that is the case, then the La Harpe Red Ribbon Week is right on with it's week-long drug prevention program being held throughout its elementary grade school with Kindergarten taking part.
Pictured is the door to Mrs. Abbott's Kindergarten class which pictures a circle made up of teacher and classmates in a circle holding hands. The words say,
"Together We Help Each Other Stay Drug Free!"
It is the key to almost everything, I believe..."Working together and helping each other."
If we remember that "No Man Is An Island," if we recognize the need for each other and their differences, we can begin to build on the talents of others.
We can destroy or help build bridges. Offer a hand to help where you can. Don't fold your arms, or clinch your fist or refuse to join the circle. You or that opposition may be that missing link that's part of the solution, whether fighting drugs or helping with school consolidation.
Remember your kindergarten lessons, work together.
