Do A Few Things Right

by Dessa Rodeffer, Publisher/Owner

"You only have to do a very few things right in your life so long as you don't do too many things wrong." -Warren Buffett 1930-, American Investment Entrepreneur

This quote is a good one and gives me hope when I read the first part, but this has been one of those weeks at The Quill that makes me worry about the last part of that little saying. How do you measure "too many" things wrong?

Every week is hectic at the newspaper but some weeks are worse than others and this is one of them.

I guess there is always a lesson to learn in every instance and Shirley and I are still looking for the lesson in "overload".

Printing a day late would only complicate things next week, but I hope you bear with us as we strive to bring news to our readers without too many complications.

I hope you attend the county fair, Friday's Rodeo at Stronghurst, and that you are able to plan to help with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life July 26 and 27 at the Union High School football field.

Also, plan to attend the Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show on August 3rd. It will be an exciting event with the unveiling of the 2002 ZL-1s.

This will be a few things we can add to our list of "Doing A Few Things Right". Community support is always good.
