A Short
Note About Ethanol
by Dessa Rodeffer, Publisher/Owner
It seems the question that is asked most about investing in the BRR Cooperative is: "Will there be too many plants and a chance we'll over produce?
Co-chair Ray Defanbaugh, who just returned from the WorldWide Energy Conference in San Diego, California said, "The fear is not will we overproduce, but can we produce enough?"
He said that the ethanol market in California is not as big as the market that will open up in New York.
Defanbaugh said if all the plants including the ones not built and the ones just starting to organize were up and running, it still wouldn't be enough. Plus, new technology is being worked on all the time, such as E-85 and the new study by John Deere in using bio-diesel.
Defanbaugh said because of our overproduction of corn prices are down. This gives our corn value.
