Pray

My words are few this week but most important.

As I share in the excitement with Mike and Nancy Rankin of Raritan and their good report of their daughter's MRI (the cancer is gone), I hope we all continue to pray for Angie as she faces future scans.

She will have a scan in two months and another scan in four months (around May), and we pray that all continues to be clear.

I was listening to a message by a young wife and mother on WDLM. She was, telling of the most important lesson in the Bible, and that was the message of prayer.

She said the Bible teaches that Jesus constantly went to prayer and put the biggest problems or crises into his Father's hands. This is how Jesus was able to do His Father's will, and not stumble under the terrible pressures that he faced. It reminded me of a song my mother used to sing: "I'm following Jesus, each step of the way."

If we are to follow him, it surely means daily prayer with the Father: prayer for ourselves, and prayer for Angie and all those lives we touch each day.
