The Rain

It seems this past week has brought nothing but rain. And for some things.... the rain had it. Rain dampened the spirits of some looking for a sunny Henderson County Heritage Trails weekend. There was a smaller crowd than anticipated, but many bundled up and didn't let it stop them from attending.

The rains kept some inside allowing them to watch the USA Olympics team perform in Sydney, Australia. The USA and Japanese battled in softball in the light rain Tuesday yet the USA was able to edge out a victory.

As many area fans took their annual trip to Chicago for a Cubs-Cardinal outing, they traveled in rain until they arrived at Wrigley: then it stopped. As soon as the game was over, the rain resumed following them back to the Henderson Co. area. The rain seems to be here for awhile.
