He's
Alive Our Saviour

Each morning I can rejoice because no matter how bad things seem, there is Easter morning to remind me that I have a savior.
Another fascinating thing is that I am not alone, Christians across the world have the same hope.
I was thinking how we can get ourselves in a real mess by dwelling on what we can do and can't do.
We get so upset about our health, family, our finances, even our home and work, because we think we are in charge of it all.
But we are not in charge. God is in charge, thank goodness, and he has a plan for each of us.
If we are overburdened it is because we have failed to unload our problems on the one who can lighten our load.
A Christian minister on the radio this week said if we have too many burdens, some of them are probably things that God hasn't chosen for us.
One of my favorite verses is one that the late Lucille Fort taught us during a Missionary program.
It is from the book of Matthew, chapter 11:28-30
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
"For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
The Lord comes to us quietly and gentle as a lamb. And if we can not find Him, perhaps we first must do some house cleaning in our hearts.
We must try to forgive others, stop sinning, be unselfish in our giving and work to help others.
We must get rid of the hate and discontent.
This is when we will feel that God is active in our lives, because God is love.
Read I Corinthians 13:4-13, and you will realize that love is about others, not self, and that perfect love is shown through God:His giving up his only son for us.
As you share in the Holy week services, may your burdens be lifted.
