The Hancock County Piecemakers To Meet In Oquawka April 18-20

The April 2, 2024 meeting was held at the Carthage Christian Church.

Before the start of the meeting a group picture was taken in the sanctuary with those members present.

Roll call was answered to “favorite color(s) to use in a spring quilt”. Inventory of comfort, kids, pink ribbon aand honor flight quilts along with pillow cases were reported. Also plenty of fabric/supplies are available.

The monthly program was on binding tips and tricks. A short video of connecting the ends together along with samples of using faux piping and a fake flange. Instructions were also handed out along with samples.

There will be another fun sew day for guild members on April 27 at the church. Bring your own project to sew or can work on Honor Flight quilts.

The next quilt retreat is being held April 18-20 in Oquawka, Il.

Show and Tell was any baby or children’s quilts that have been made throughout the years.

June will be the sewing room sale and potluck carry in. Now is the time to start sorting through your sewing room for those unwanted items you no longer want or need.

Next meeting will be held May 7 at 7pm, Methodist Church, Bowen. This will be the first UFO challenge that will be due. The monthly program will be a trunk show presented by one of the members and her Aunt.
