The questions are answered, at least as far as who will represent Republicans and Democrats in the upcoming 2022 November Election. In Henderson County with 1,584 ballots called, 1,282 went to Republicans with only 302 going to Democrats for a 81%–19% spread.

LINK OVER VANCIL

In the Henderson County Sheriff's race, Henderson County Sheriff Don Seitz's Chief Deputy Matthew J. Link won over Arbry Vancil. Vancil is Stronghurst Chief Police and a site manager for Tri-Oaks Foods.

Deputy Link will be facing Democrat Steven P. Henshaw of Oquawka, a retired deputy at the Sheriff's office who has been on the ballot for Sheriff before. Henshaw ran unopposed Tuesday and received 262 votes (100%).

Matt Link– 685 Votes (54.49%); Arbry Vancil– 572 votes (45.51%).

DUFFY OVER BOLEY

In the Hancock County Sheriff's race on the Republican ticket, Hancock County Sheriff Travis Duffy won over Nauvoo Police Chief Mike Boley. Duffy was Hancock County Chief Deputy until he was appointed to fill the position of Sheriff Scott Bentzinger who resigned last year before his term was up. Democrats did not have a candidate for Hancock County Sheriff giving Duffy the sure win in November.

Sheriff Travis Duffy-2,334 (65.75%); Mike Boley–1,216 (34.25%).

REPUBLICAN PRIMARY ELECTION JUNE 28

Both Hancock and Henderson Counties overwhelming Agree in picks for the following:

Congressional 15th Dist: Mary Miller over Rodney Davis with Miller winning over all Illinois and said she had received a gracious call from Rodney Davis who vows to help Republicans win in November.

Governor's Race: Darren Bailey/Stephanie Trussell won over 5 others and won overall Illinois and will face JB Pritzer in the November 2022 Election.

SECRETARY OF STATE: Dan Brady won locally and in Illinois over John Milhiser and will face Alexi Giannoulias.

US Senator: Peggy Hubbard won over 6 others locally but failed to win the State wide bid. She gave the strongest fight but her opponent with strong backing in Chicago who are determined to unseat the incumbent Tammy Duckworth, helped Kathy Salvi win the GOP race to take on Senator Duckworth this Fall. Salvia is Lake County assistant public defender and stated she is the only candidate that can unseat Duckworth.
