Meet your neighbors Ryan and Ashley Johnson of La Harpe.

Ryan and Ashley were married on March 1, 2008. Together they have 5 children, Emily, 13, twins Matt and Molly, 11, Lucas, 9 and Ryley, 5.

Ryan was born in 1976 and raised in La Harpe and Ashley was born in 1984 and raised in Macomb.

Ryan is the son of Roger and MaryAnn Johnson of La Harpe. Roger is a farmer and MaryAnn is retired.

Ashley is the daughter of Connie Peterson and Don Peterson. Connie is a teacher in Macomb and Don lives in Monmouth and is retired.

Ryan has one brother, Tim (Jocelyn) Johnson of La Harpe and one sister Christy Fox of O'Fallon, Missouri. He has two nieces and two nephews, Hannah and Hayden Fox and Abby and Aden Johnson.

Ashley has one sister, Amy (Brian) Brady of Abingdon and Andrew of Macomb. She has one nephew, Ben.

Ryan is the grandson of Eugene and Betty Johnson of La Harpe. Eugene farmed and Betty stayed at home and raised 8 children.

Ryan graduated from La Harpe high school in 1994 and Ashley graduated from Industry High school in 2002.

Ryan will graduate with his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry in December from Lincoln Christian University.

Ryan has worked at Country Financial for the last 13 years as a financial representative, Ashley has worked at the La Harpe Telephone company for 4 years.

Before that, Ryan was a guest service manager at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri and Ashley was a corporate secretary at First State Bank in La Harpe.

Ryan is the co-founder of One Family, One Purpose, a disaster relief organization that rebuilds homes for of survivors of natural disasters.

Ryan is the Executive Director of One Family, One Purpose and Ashley is the treasurer of One Familly, One Purpose.

Ryan has also earned multiple All American awards as a financial representative for Country Financial. They have had the opportunity to travel to a number of locations, but their greatest joy comes from serving those in need, both domestically and abroad. Both are members of the La Harpe Christian Church.

In their spare time, Ryan enjoys running, jeeping and biking; Ashley enjoys crafting, baking, decorating and cooking.

They say, God has blessed us both, far more than what we deserve. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be a part of such a great community, and to serve such an awesome God!!
