Christmas Walk Enjoyed Dispite Cooler Weather

The Stronghurst Christmas Walk this year enjoyed more businesses participating and many attending the event although there were fewer residents out on the streets due to the near freezing temperatures. The event was held Friday, November 22 between 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Hall of Trees in the Flatt building was beautifully decorated and sight to behold as you traveled into town on Main Street. The town's Christmas lights of lighted wreathes and wrapped poles and trees made for the brightest down town yet. The nativity scene was not displayed this year and an investigation is going on as to why with plans on having it up for next year's walk. If you haven't seen the trees, they will remain on display until after Christmas for all to enjoy. Wonderful treats were served in every aisle at Fishers Food Center along with special sales. The cupcakes at Doran Insurance were frosted filled, and fabulous!

Many were unhappy that President Reagan did not make it to The Quill. The most disappointed was "Scrooze" who showed up especially to meet "the greatest president there ever was! because, he gave us money back!" when he cut our taxes. Scrooze sang Christmas songs like: "Jingle Coins" and "Oh Money Tree".
