Village Of Raritan

The Village of Raritan trustees met in the meeting room of the Raritan Firehouse March 14, 2013 and learned that the door for the pump house had arrived and will be installed.

A discussion was held about the property at 104 S. Trenton and a motion was approved to have Mike Hicks make an offer for what he wants out of the house.

A motion made by Trustee Blender, seconded by trustee Anders was approved to ask for bids for demolition of the property at 104 S. Trenton to be completed by May 30, 2013. Bids are to be submitted to the Village of Raritan Trustees by April 11, 2013 by 5:00 p.m. at P.O. Box 72, Raritan, Illinois. Bidder must provide proof of insurance or performance bond. The village has the right to refuse all bids. An ad for this is to be inserted in the Quill.

A motion made by Trustee Knapp, seconded by Trustee Magee to have the clerk order the Handicap port-a-potty from Murphy's Park and to have it arrive by May 15th to be put on the new pad south of the shelter house, carried.

A motion by Trustee Magee, seconded by Trustee Blender was given unanimous approval of the board the meetings was adjourned to the next regular meeting night.

All Trustees were present with Sammy Blender, Phillip Anders, Dwayne Magee, Gary Powless, Rob Williamson, Richard Knapp and president Earl Waller answering roll call.

Trustee Sammy Blender opened with prayer. The minutes were approved from last month's regular and specia meeting on February 27.
