Meet your neighbor and Illini West Senior Brianna Steinkamp of Carthage.

Brianna is the daughter of Tanya Steinkamp and David Steinkamp.

Tanya works at Hair Razors as a nail tech. David works part time as a receiving clerk at County Market and owns his own business, Steinkamp Mowing Service.

Brianna has two brothers.

Older brother Christopher is 23 and working at Methode Electronics as a winder.

Younger brother Keegan, 12, goes to Carthage Middle School.

Brianna is the granddaughter of Nanci Nasci and the late Lewis Nasci and Larry and Naomi Steinkamp and the late Marsha Steinkamp.

Brianna has been very active while in high school. She has managed a 3.0 grade point average, was Senior of the Month in January and was third attendant on the Homecoming court.

She is involved with LOOP (Leaders Orientating Our Peers), SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), Git-R-Done Club, and International Club.

She also played basketball for three years, and she has played volleyball all 4 years.

Her most memorable moment in high school was all of the volleyball sleepovers and winning the Suns Classic Volleyball Tournament her senior year.

Another favorite memory is when the basketball team got to go to New Orleans for a basketball camp and they went to Bourbon Street.

Brianna enjoys doing pageants and going to fairs, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

After high school, she would like to attend John Wood Community College and then transfer to Western Illinois University in Macomb to pursue a degree in Special Education and a minor in Sociology.
