La Harpe's deceased veterans were remembered over Memorial Day thanks to the patriotic helping hands of The La Harpe American Legion Post #301 and several volunteers. The group honored the U.S. veterans who had been laid to rest in the La Harpe Cemetery by placing small American flags upon their final resting place prior to Memorial Day.
"It is indeed an honor to come from such a community where individuals band together for such a worthy cause," one La Harpe resident said. "La Harpe have many who have served and many who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country."
