Good Times

We still were visiting about all the "good times" we had in Stronghurst last week during the 125th celebration and the alumni banquet. We have such fun when a community comes together.

This weekend is the Relay For Life in Henderson County and I hope each resident will come out to support the survivors and help with the fight to overcome cancer.

After the Relay-For-Life is over, the Henderson County Fair begins Sunday in Stronghurst with the Queen Pageant and runs July 15-21.

The fair is followed by La Harpe Summerfest moved to July this year 25-29th with nightly "free" entertainment, Wednesday-Jim Inman & The Westerners; Thursday-Common Bond Band; Friday-The King Family Band, Saturday-Country Mountain Music band; and Sunday-Hometown Harmonies. La Harpe Lions' Parade time Saturday is moved to 11:00 a.m. this year.

The La Harpe Classic Car Show will be held on Saturday, August 4th, rumored to be bigger than ever, according to La Harpe Mayor Kenny Brown and Bob Lionberger.

Plan to attend and let the "good times" roll!
