Meet your neighbor Amber Pence of La Harpe.
Amber was born in Burlington, Iowa on October 10, 1984 and was raised in La Harpe.
She is the daughter of John and Cheryl Pence of La Harpe. John works out of Union Hall in Illinois and Cheryl works at Winegard in Burlington, IA.
Amber has one sister, Amy Tanner of La Harpe. Amy works at the La Harpe Davier Health Care Center as an RN. She and her husband John have 4 children. Ashley, is 18 and lives in Quincy, Kyle and Kelsey are 14 and are freshman at Illini West High School and Tyler who is 7, attends first grade at La Harpe Elementary.
Amber is the granddaughter of Milford (Bea) Pence of Lomax, Donna (Karl) Smith of Shelbyville, Missouri and the late Jullian (Bonnie) Bundy of La Harpe.
She graduated from La Harpe High School in 2003. She then attended John Wood Community College in Quincy from 2003-2005 where she played basketball and softball. She then transferred to Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa where she also played basketball and softball from 2005-2008. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management.
Amber previously has worked for Iowa Wesleyan College and for the Winegard Company. She has been working at Case New Holland since April of 2012 in Burlington, Iowa.
In her spare time, she enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, along with softball, golf and playing slow pitch--a true out-doors woman.
