Public comments were shared, both in favor and against the rehiring of Coach Zach Keene as Girls' Head Basketball Coach for the 2012-2013 school year at the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education of Illini West HSD #307.
At the meeting, held on Wednesday, April 18., a motion was made to retain Zach Keene as Girls' Head Basketball Coach, however, the motion failed.
Resignations from Deb Murphy as Key Club Co-Sponsor and Tammey Gilbert as SADD Sponsor were accepted.
An overnight trip request for FBLA and a fundraising request for girls basketball were approved.
It was announced that Illini West Chargers of the Month for April were Beau Passmore and Lauren White.
The board approved the Summer Credit Recovery Program, which will enable students to keep on track to graduate in four years.
The board approved the Amended Budget for FY 2012 and the Risk Management Plan for 2012-2013.
An Amended Budget Hearing took place at 6:50 p.m., with no public comment on the Amended Budget.
