Meet Your Neighbor Ashley Gittings of Carman. Ashley is a recent graduate of The Class of 2012 from West Central.

Ashley was born on May 17, 1994 in Macomb. She was raised in Lomax until fourth grade when she moved to Stronghurst.

Her mother is Amanda Carpenter who is employed at Rheinschmidt's Tile and Marble. Her step father Bob is employed at Case in Burlington.

She has three older sisters; Karly, 19, is employed at Kum and Go as a cashier, Malinda Walker, 30, is employed at Great River Medical Center, and Christy Marshal who works at Winegard.

Ashley was very active while in High School. She participated in Volleyball, Cheerleading, NHS, and FBLA. She was also the NHS secretary and the FBLA president.

Ashley is currently employed at the Boogaloo Cafe in Burlington. She is a hostess/waitress. She has been employed there for over a year and loves her job.

Some of Ashley's hobbies include spending as much time with her friends as possible and traveling. She has been to many places such as; London, Paris, Normandy, and Costa Rica.

Just last week she returned from a trip to Beijing, China. She says it was a very developing country. She visited The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, a school, and a zoo.

Ashley's future plans include attending Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville to become a Healthcare Administrator.

Ashley wants to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Business and a Masters in Healthcare.
