Bette June Mapes took "The Quill" along when she went to Simi Valley, Californa to visit her family Bill ,Stacey, Alison and Andrew Mapes. She left on June 12, and returned on July 2. She was so blessed to be able to meet up with her best friends and classmates from La Harpe High School that live in California now. From left is: Vicky (Comstock) Geissler lives in Hesperia ,CA ~ Bette June (Rice) Mapes lives in La Harpe ~ Carol (Cunningham) Kurth lives in Murrieta, CA. They met in Rancho Cucamonga, CA., had a very nice lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and a great afternoon of visiting. What joy they shared as it has been 8 years since they have all been together. When you go on a trip, take "The Quill" along and have your picture taken with it, then send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
