She has one daughter, Lea Rutherford, 6, who attends La Harpe Elementary School.

Her boyfriend is Bryan Burford, 30, of La Harpe. Bryan works at NTN Bowers in Macomb.

Brother James Rutherford lives in Michigan and has his own construction business. Her sister Jerry Sandze is an accountant and lives in Texas.

Jessica's grandmother is Jean Travis of Canton. Jean used to be a florist and a nurse.

Jessica's hobbies include woodworking, pottery, and crafts. She loves home improvement projects, collecting books, cooking and likes to help work on cars.

Her favorite vacations include going to Motocross races every year and going to Las Vegas.

Jessica is the Troop leader of La Harpe Girl Scout Daisy Troop 5368.

Jessica says she likes living in a small town because when people drive by you, whether you are walking or driving, they all wave to you. And people always greet one another in such a friendly way, even if you are new to town. It makes a person feel safer in a small town instead of a big town, she says.
