Meet Your Neighbor Laura Chockley of Stronghurst.

Laura is recently employed by H & H Feeds part-time.

She was born in Quincy and raised on a farm in rural Quincy.

In 2006 she graduated from Liberty High School and continued her education at Western Illinois University where she earned a bachelors degree in animal science in 2010.

Her parents are Jeff and Diane Genebacher are farmers near Quincy. She has two sisters, Heather (John), Bouvalong of Quincy. Heather is employed by Dot Foods as a customer service representative for the East Coast and John is employed at a Quincy medical g}

A younger sister, Alaina, is employed as a cosmetologist in Quincy. Her two brothers are, Lee, who is presently in the Army stationed in Afghanistan and Luke, a high school student, who works on the family farm.

A new bride, Laura married Abe Chockley in August of this year. Abe is employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe as an engineer.

She attends the Christian Church in Stronghurst.

Her hobbies are their two German shepherds, Thunder and Pepper. She enjoys spending time with them and taking them on walks.

In her spare time she loves going back to the family farm in Quincy and helping her dad take care of the cattle, horses, chickens and the hogs.

She said, "When I was home there was no time for family vacations since there was so much to do on the farm!"

When asked what she likes about her present employment at H & H Feeds she replied, "Learning different products I didn't know about before, and seeing all the new faces in town and visiting area farms with the Purina representatives and experts to discuss.
