The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
While serving their country, Pfc Travas Countryman (4th year), son of Roger and Jackie Countryman of rural Lomax and his U.S. Army comrades enjoy some free time with The Quill. They are on FOB Howzemadad in Southern Afghanistan, outside the guys' living tent. All the guys enjoy reading The Quill, especially the "Meet Your Neighbor" column. The paper makes them feel they know the people who are so generous to send care packages that they appreciate so much.
From left Jeremy James (Greenbay, WI), Brian Balaoro (Anchorage, AK), Jarrund Willis (Phoenix, AZ), Travas Countryman (La Harpe), Jared Hathaway (Omaha, NE); Front: Paul Fragola (Syracuse, NY). The Quill readers greatly appreciate our service men and women and all they do to protect each of us, our homeland and to promote world peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
When you go on a trip, take "The Quill" along and have your picture taken with it, then send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
