City Council Meeting

In the brief account of the La Harpe City Council's regular meeting February 28 submitted by Clerk Lucretia McPeak, all the council members were present including

The usual business of approving minutes and the treasurer's report, and paying of all bills took place along with the following actions approved by the board to:

• donate $75.00 to the Girl Scouts to help pay for a Bunny suit for the Easter Egg hunt
• Hire Chris Akers to cut down a tree for $600.00
• Close the street beside the nursing home on April 9th, from 8:30 a.m., until 2:30 p.m., for the La Harpe Davier open house celebration.

It was reported that the city received the sales tax for November 2010, but is still waiting on 3 months of back sales tax from the state.

La Harpe City Council members adjourned to Executive session to discuss Delinquent Water bills at 7:27 p.m.. They returned to regular session, adjourning at 7:36 p.m.

The next scheduled regular council meeting will be March 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the upper room of City Hall.
