Foster Automotive is looking a little different as owner, Mike Rodeffer had the gas pumps and the underground tanks removed last week from the former Rodeffer's FS station. Rodeffer said EPA regulations require inactive stations to remove anything underground within 5 years. The pump removal gives Colton Foster, who leases the building for his mechanic business of Foster Automotive, a little more room in front of his business. The disadvantage of removing the tanks was that Rodeffer's FS was the only gas station in La Harpe that carried diesel fuel. Now, La Harpe service vehicles that use diesel must travel out of town for fuel.
