Take "The Quill" Along

The Quill traveled to Paris. From left is: Betty Sterett of rural Biggsville, holding The Quill, in front of the Arch of Triumph in Paris, with daughter-in-law Carolyn, and son Brad pushing the stroller with granddaughter Mary.

The back from left: Grandson Ben, Ben's friend, Abby, and behind Betty is granddaughter Sara.

Brad, USMC Ret'd., is employed by Boeing as a troubleshooter, and is scheduled to leave shortly for his fourth tour in the Gulf, the third since 2001. (Whether Iraq or Afghanistan isn't known.) Ben, is a three-time North Carolina Regional Cross-Country Champion, and two-time North Carolina State Cross-Country Runner-Up. He will be headed to West Point following graduation in May.

Carolyn, Sara (a high school sophomore, soccer player and foreign language student), and Mary (kindergarten) will be holding down the fort while Brad is gone and Ben is at West Point.

In April, Paris can be a bit cool, but everybody still is having a good time.

When you go on a trip, take "The Quill" along and have your picture taken with it, then send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
