The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Garret Lefler and Justin Davis took the Quill to Capitol Hill in July. The boys attended 4-H's Citizen in Washington Focus, July 11th-18th. They stayed at the National 4-H Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland where they attended workshops and served on committees with 4-H'ers from California, Maine, New Jersey, Virginia, Wisconsin and Illinois. Throughout the week they visited many sights in and around Washington D.C. as well as wrote, debated and voted to pass bills on 4 main topics. On Capitol Hill Day, they visited former Congressman's Phil Hare's office went to the Supreme Court building, the Library of Congress, the Capitol building and sat in on a vote at the House of Representatives and went to Union Station. On this day the groups went their own way to visit their local Representative or Senator.
