The La Harpe City Council met for their regular meeting Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
The board was informed it will cost approximately $550.00 for new park equipment (swings) for the La Harpe City Park.
All Aldermen were present: Todd Irish, Brian Lovell, Marcia Stiller, Michael Bennett, Vicki Burford, Darrell Kraft, Treasurer-Marcia Neff, and City Clerk-Lucretia McPeak.
Mayor-Kenneth Brown was absent.
Also present were: Jimmy Jackson, Gary Stiller, Dan Gillett, and Doug Endres.
Motion was made and carried to appoint Alderman Brian Lovell as Mayor Pro Tem.
After the usual business, it was reminded that the City Wide Clean Up for La Harpe residents will be May 7th.
A rough draft of the Golf Cart Ordinance was presented to the council for discussion.
Jimmy Jackson, with Jackson Disposal, was here to present the garbage proposal for the contract that is up for renewal this fall.
The Public Works Committee will meet Monday, May 3rd at 6:30 p.m., at city hall to discuss the garbage proposal.
The next scheduled regular council meeting will be May 10, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at La Harpe City Hall.
