Historical Society Surprised

The Historical Society had a pleasant surprise the morning of the 19th by Athena Brooks, Director, and Dorinda Spangler, Dietician, from the nursing home.

Dorinda had made monkey bread and they came to serve the wonderful ladies and Dan Gillett.

Athena said "we just want to compliment them for all they do and for the support they give the nursing home."

The Historical Society will be going to the Nursing home on May 10th for a show and tell. This is during National Nursing home week which is May 9th -15th.

On May 10th the mayor's proclamation will be read with Ken Brown in attendance. A balloon lunch will be served on the lawn and inside will be a presentation of the colors by La Harpe American Legion with a presentation of La Harpe's history by the Historical Society, then snacks.
