Fall Is Just Around the Corner

Fall is just around the corner and will bring with it a delightful array of changing colors, a lush harvest, the scurrying of wildlife, and an abundance to be thankful for.

Our midwestern heritage is rich and a precious thing to preserve.

As you see by the large number of supporters of Heritage Trails in the Henderson County Quill, the celebration of our heritage is something everyone looks forward to and wants to continue.

It is especially exciting this year to see one of our oldest businesses WEIR'S FRUIT FARM, owned and operated by Jane Weir, celebrating their 125th Anniversary in business near Gladstone. I hope she has a record-breaking crowd on that day Saturday, September 26th and that everyone relates their thanks for her business that have drawn so many other the years.

Right now, our students are busy with sports, studies, drivers training, and getting ready for homecoming. After all the rain we have had, it looks as if it's going to be a beautiful fall.
