Meet Your Neighbor

Meet Your Neighbor Troy Linden, a Physical Education and Drivers Education teacher at West Central High School.

He was born in DeKalb and raised in Monmouth where he graduated from Monmouth High School in 1994.

After graduating from Monmouth High School he entered Western Illinois University, in Macomb, where he received his bachelors degree in 2003 majoring in Physical Education. He has also taken health classes at Kishwaukee.

Before coming to West Central to teach he taught PE and Drivers Education for two years at Pawpaw in the DeKalb area.

His parents are Dave and Petra Linden. Dave is in sales for AgVenture Seed and his mom is a teacher at Immaculate Conception in Monmouth.

He has two sisters, Janette (Kevin) McCune who live near Avon and Michelle, a teacher at West Central. Janette is a medical transcriptionist. Janette and Kevin have one daughter, Kelcey (3) and a son, Garrett (1).

He is member of Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth.

Troy enjoys all kinds of movies, reading, working out and just "work" in general.

Troy served 4 years is the Navy from 1996 to 2000 in San Diego, California. While in the Navy he was deployed for two 6 month periods to the Persian Gulf.

When asked what he liked most about West Central he said, "I really enjoy the small school environment and being near family.
