Time Is Short, But It Counts

by Dessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher/Owner

As Easter passes by, we reflect on the short life of Jesus who is believed to have died around age 33. He started his ministry when he was 30, and in 3 short years, he impacted the world!

We have received word of several deaths this week, relatives of my husband, friends of my daughter and granddaughter, acquaintances through work, people we have come to know through The Quill. They leave a void.

It seems, at times, that our own life has not been significant to anyone, or has little impact on society. We might feel it counts for little, but I am positive, each time I place an obituary in the paper, that God had a purpose for creating that life, and without them, life would not be the same for so many reasons, and to so many people. More than you might think.

Maybe our life brought forth children, encouraged someone having doubts about a profession, worked to pay for food or school books, or your visit encouraged someone having a bad day. You may never know the importance of your life, but God knows. Yes, time is short, but it counts! Ask the Saviour.
