It's Amazing, Our Towns

I am getting more and more like my father every day.

He would go on and on about how great it is to live in our community and I see that is one thing that hasn't changed.

We live among good people!

I believe the Bank of Stronghurst staff and the Stronghurst Lions Club members had as much fun giving away Easter treats as the kids did receiving them!

Our Fire Department and Ambulance and emergency crews are just amazing, as they drop everything to answer the call of the fire siren.

And, of course, there are those who serve on the political scene to make things better or to fight against a cause they see unfit in our county.

There are those who serve on the county board, or economical development, our villages and town, and others who volunteer to help them.

There are the volunteers at the church and nursing home and I wonder where would we be without these saints.

This week is National Agriculture Week, and we are so fortunate to be in the middle of the Ag industry, and see the diligence our farmers take in taking care of their crops and their animals.

We also have some of the finest school systems in the area with teachers determined to give children a hunger for learning, and motivation to give the best they can to this life.

And as I see the many houses of God in our communities, I can't help but feel that fellowshiping together and honoring the one true God remains the foundation for all that is goodness.

Our heritage in Hancock and Henderson County is a great one. I hope you see how very fortunate we are, not just to be living where you are, but to be living among some of the most gifted and caring people in the world.
