Random Acts Of Kindness

Doesn't it feel good when someone goes out of their way just for you?

I was pleased when I visited my grandchildren's school in West Des Moines, Iowa and found the Principal rewarding a dozen or so children for random acts of kindness a teacher had caught them doing for someone.

Whether it was letting someone go first in line, or helping a new student in school find their way around, a teacher would take note and at a special assembly, they were recognized for their act of kindness.

Now, I find out at West Central High School, teachers are doing the same thing in what they call, "Caught Doing Good."

I really like the positive approach that is being taught in these instances. And hopefully, "paying it forward" will continue for the rest of their lives.
