The annual firemen's appreciation dinner for the volunteers of the La Harpe Fire Protection District was held at the La Harpe clubhouse on Sunday, September 7.
In addition to a delicious meal, served by R&D foods to firemen and their families, pins were presented to numerous firemen in recognition for their years of service to the La Harpe, Terre Haute, and Fountain Green communities.
A special award was presented to Chief Robert "Bob" Reed of the Terre Haute department for 50 years of service to the fire district.
Bob (at right) is shown receiving his plaque and some gift certificates from Steve Painter, also a Terre Haute fireman.
