Meet Your Neighbor

Meet Your Neighbor Jeanne Whittemore, of Stronghurst, employed part-time at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation as Activity Aide.

Jeanne, born in Monmouth and raised in Smithshire, graduated from Southern High School in 1987 and from Daytons School of Hair Design in 1989.

Before starting at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab, she was in sales and most recently for U.S. Cellular.

Her hubby of 16-1/2 years is Rob. He is a mobile service technician for Flextronics.

They have two daughters, C.C. (13) a 7th grade student at West Central and Becca (10) in the 5th grade.

Jeanne's parents are Donna and Barney Richardson. Donna is employed at Vista in West Burlington, Iowa, and Barney is retired but drives a semi for Bill Corzatt.

Jeanne enjoys watching her girls in their sports activities. C.C. plays volleyball and softball and Becca plays basketball. They are in band and Girl Scouts and also enjoy volunteering their time at Oak Lane and helping with the residents.

Jeanne loves to read and has eclectic taste in music. She refers to herself as "The Bingo Queen".

Jeanne has one sister Sandy, McKay who lives in Monmouth with husband Donnie and their four children.

Her favorite times are spent with family and the residents at Oak Lane and she refers to them as part of her family.
