Smoke bellowed out of the home of Harold and Barb Shrum Friday morning covering West Central Pre-K school forcing 60 kids to evacuate to the West Central north campus. Clean-up of every inch of the school was done over the weekend and students returned to school Monday morning. The Shrums, a family of four, lost everything in their home and are living temporarily with his parents Jim and Annie Shrum of Media with an outpouring of support from the community, school, and the Girl Scouts organization of West Burlington, Iowa. -photo by Jean Crotts
