On June 15, 2008 there ws a Superman Festive in Metropolis. It was a very hot day, but that did not stop people from all around to set a new world record of the most supermen in costume in one place.
Several from La Harpe and area took the Quill along with them. Cierstynn Welcher, Coedy Burford, Hailey Markey, Maddea Jo-Marie Burford, Brock Burford, all from La Harpe. Doug Burford of Manteno, Kattie Freeland, Winchester Virginia and Superman undisclosed location.
