Puppies Part Of Vendors Coming To Gladstone in Sept.

Heritage Trail Days Sept. 29-30

According to Joyce Hetrick, Gladstone contact person, there are seventeen vendors confirmed and around a half dozen more who have shown interest in displaying their items at the Gladstone Village Park during Heritage Trails Days, Septembet 28-29.

Live puppies and kittens from Missouri and Iowa will be a highlight for many children as well as adults. New litters are expected that are 6 weeks and older. A lot of mixed breeds and purebreds are expected.

Joyce is holding Mugsy which she purchased over a month ago from them. It is a "Rug Rat," a crossbreed whose mom is a 5 lb. Toy Rat Terrier and whose dad is a Pug.

Other items that will be in the Gladstone Park are:

Pampered Chef¨ (Avon, IL)

Several Flea Market Vendors from out of the county.

New Swords (Burlington, IA)

Also, the West Central Heat FFA organization will be serving food at the Gladstone Community building on Saturday and Sunday.

There is still room for crafters and displayers at the Gladstone park. A uniformed price has been set by Heritage Trails committee members of $10 a day throughout the county....

Contact the individual town's contact person to rent a spot or call Joyce Hetrick if you would like to be a part of Gladstone's activities at 309-627-2912.

All displays will be set up at the Gladstone Village Park, Joyce said.

John Allaman is head of the Historical Society which sponsors Heritage Trail Days in Henderson County.

Displays are no longer being set up at the Covered Bridge due to the heavy traffic and parking problems along the highway.

You may pick up a brochure at our banks and businesses to find a listing of happenings around the county. The Heritage Trails brochure is being sponsored by businesses to be printed in The Quill on Wednesday, September 19th.
