The nationally and internationally known vocal music ensemble Chapter 6 appeared at West Central Monday, November 26th for two appearances. The group was the premiere jazz a cappella ensemble at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois
Their afternoon concert was performed for grades 5 through 12, and an evening concert was free and open to the public.
The group of six male vocalists used only their voices to perform a wide range of musical styles. Much of the concert contained humor to please the 700 or so students for the afternoon assemble.
The approximately 250 guests at the evening concert included many students who came back for an encore performance after enjoying the first concert during the day.
The appearance of Chapter 6 was underwritten by an Illinois Fine Arts Grant and through several local businesses that support the arts in Henderson County.
