On Thursday, November 15, 2007 a 911 call came in that dispatched the La Harpe, Ft. Green and Terre Haute fire departmentsto the La Harpe School District Bus Barn.
Upon arrival they found that a bus was fully in gulfed and at this point would not be able to be saved. It now became the department's goal to keep the fire from spreading to the other surrounding buses and buildings as well as a row of pine trees.
The La Harpe School District is now down two buses due to the fire. The fire is still under investigation at this time.
