Virginia "VK" Gleason moved to La Harpe in 2002 from Fairfield, Iowa and married Glenn Gleason in 2006.
She has two sons and one daughter, Larry (Gina) Hanshaw, Kim (Gary) Schreffler and Terry Hanshaw.
She also has three step-children, Dr. Martin (Julie) Gleason, Kate Biggam, and the late Linda Ball.Ê She has seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great grandchildren.
"VK" has been employed at Dollar General in LaHarpe for the past year. In her free time she likes to work in her yard and flower garden, spend time quilting and with her husband.Ê They often take little trips here and there. "VK" has even ridden her bike in Ragbrai, (the Des Moines Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa)! She rode from Missouri River at Red Oak, Iowa to Ft. Madison, Iowa, a 7 day trip.
She enjoys living in La Harpe and says "I love this community. It is wonderful!" She also says that she normally doesn't dress like this, but it was "fair day" at work. Stop in and see what "VK" really looks like, and say hello!
