Petersen Health Care To Purchase La Harpe Davier Health Care Center

Petersen Health Care will be purchasing the La Harpe Davier Health Care Center in La Harpe, and will be taking over management of the home on April 1.

This 45-bed nursing facility is located at 101 North B. Street, La Harpe. The facility will become part of Petersen Health Care, which currently operates 73 Senior Living Centers including long-term care facilities as well as Independent/Assisted Living facilities throughout Illinois and Eastern Iowa.

"We are extremely proud to be a part of the La Harpe community", stated Petersen Health Care owner, Mark B. Petersen. "This home fits our philosophy of "caring for those in need' and this facility has great staff to care for the residents.

We are excited about becoming even more involved within the community. This home employs 43 full lime and part-time local caring people.

There are no plans for major changes within the home at this time. However, we will be reviewing policies and procedures and restructuring the responsibilities of our key department employees to improve where possible.

All services that are currently offered will continue to be offered.

"La Harpe Davier Health Care Center offers programming for a wide variety of needed care for seniors including services for those suffering from dementia including Alzheimer's, free transportation for the residents to appointments, 24-hour nursing services and is committed to the provision of the most dignified, respectful and highest quality care for our resdients," stated Cindy White, Vice-President of Operations for the La Harpe facility.

White stated, "We are very excited about working with the management and staff at the home."

Petersen Health Care, founded in 1974, is based out of Peoria. The company employs nearly 5,000 and is an active supporter of each of the communities in which they serve.
