Meet Your Neighbor

Meet Your Neighbor Diane Bigley, married on July 11, 1992 to her husband David. 

She is from Pleasant Plains and graduated from Pleasant Plains High School in 1981. 

Before going into the ministry she worked for the Illinois Department of Conservation (now the Dept. Of Natural Resources) and Office of Law Enforcement for 12 years. She worked a couple of years for the Secretary of State\'d5s office in Streator and also at  the Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac, which is a United Methodist owned retirement and nursing home. 

In 1987 she became a Lay Pastor and did this for several years before she went on to Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary Course of Study School and graduated in 2003. 

Some of her previous churches are Flanagan, Rooks Creek, Nigh Chapel and Long Point from 95-96, Tower Hill from 96-99, Pana from 96-97, Palestine from 99-04. 

She is currently the pastor at the La Harpe, Durham, and Terre Haute United Methodist Churches where she has been since 2004. 

Her husband, David, is currently the pastor at the Colchester and Tennessee United Methodist Churches. 

David is a graduate of Dubuque Theological Seminary and is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry also at Dubuque and will graduate in 2007. 

Diane and David have a son, Noah, who is a 4th grader at West Prairie South Elementary School.

The Bigley's adopted him from Korea and he has been living in their home since he was four months old. When she is not busy with her family and her church family she likes to curl up with a good book.
